FosterSource Education Platform

A Change++ project for FosterSource, a Colorado nonprofit that trains foster and kinship caregivers through in-person and online courses. I joined the team working on the course-management platform and took ownership of the survey system—the tool the org relies on to measure how their training actually lands with caregivers.

How I contributed

Led a survey system overhaul introducing per-course surveys, response versioning, and aggregate statistics, replacing a one-size-fits-all survey model. Refactored the Survey Summary and Detailed Survey Response components on the frontend for clearer facilitator-facing reporting, and extended the backend schema and REST endpoints to support richer filtering and response management. Followed up with support for pre- and post-course survey phases to let the org measure learning outcomes over time, not just at a single checkpoint.
